Congratulations are in order for SMART Infrastructure Facility Associate Research Fellow (Regional and Transport Economics), Ashkan Masouman, who received his graduation testamur from University of Wollongong on Tuesday, 22 July 2015.

Dr Masouman, who joined SMART through a fellowship program in 2014, graduated with a PhD in Economics from the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance within UOW’s Faculty of Business, after completing a thesis titled: “Economic Forecasting, Impact Analysis and Regional Planning with a Focus on the Illawarra”.

During the course of his doctoral studies, Dr Masouman received a number of awards, including: International Postgraduate Tuition Award (IPTA), Higher Degree Research SMART Award, and the Faculty of Business Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) People’s Choice Winner.
