On 24 September 2012, Simulation Australia held their Annual General Meeting, at which SMART’s Professor of Modelling and Simulation, Pascal Perez, was appointed to a key governing committee of the national peak body for the simulation community.

As a world leader in participatory modelling of complex systems, Pascal was appointed to the committee overseeing Simulation Australia’s Modelling & Decision Support Division at the company’s recent annual general meeting.

Simulation Australia exists to promote the use of simulation for the benefit of providers, practitioners and users in order to increase the use of simulation in achieving organisational goals, for the advancement of Australia’s economy and society.

With simulation a key focus at SMART, Professor Perez’s appointment is reflection of the Facility’s commitment to inter-organisation and interdisciplinary connections and activities.
