Last Thursday one of our PhD students at the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre (SBRC) won the national Student of the Year – Higher Education and Research Award from the Australian Institute of Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) at a gala dinner in Sydney.
This awards recognises Federico’s many achievements in his career to date. Of particular note is that he has just successfully completed his PhD thesis entitled, ‘Impact of temperature and indoor environmental quality on perceptions of occupants and agitation of residents in nursing homes’. His work has already received significant attention and will undoubtedly have a considerable impact in the Australian and international aged care sectors in the future.
Federico is now continuing his role as one of our key researchers in the SBRC team as an Associate Research Fellow.
Congratulations Federico on winning this very prestigious award!
