Professor Brian Cullis has recently been elected to the International Biometric Society Executive Board as a Director from the Asia/Australasia area, for a four-year term starting 1 January 2017. The International Biometric Society is an international society promoting the development and application of statistical and mathematical theory and methods in the biosciences, including agriculture, biomedical science and public health, ecology, environmental sciences, forestry and allied disciplines.
The Executive Board is currently empowered to fix international dues for Members of the Society, approve receipt of gifts and bequests, make appointments to Committees, task forces and liaisons with other societies, act upon proposals submitted by Committees, develop policies and procedures and enact Society bylaws.
