C*-algebras of self-similar actions of groupoids on higher-rank graphs and their equilibrium states.
Professor Ivan Graham (University of Bath, UK) presents his talk "Uncertainty quantification for PDEs"
Dr Corinna Maab presents a maximally reduced model system - oil droplets self-propelling in an aqueous surfactant solution - demonstrate in how many ways these droplets can emulate much more complicated biological machinery and set out the non-equilibrium physics underlying such lifelike phenomena.
A quantum version of the local characterization given by the DLR formalism in the classical setting is proposed in this seminar by Mr. Lucas Alfonso of the University of São Paulo.
There will be a one-day workshop on Thursday 12th December 2019
Focusing on rank of C*-algebras introduced by Rieffel in 1983. Rank of C*-algebras has a range of applications ranging from classification of C*-algebras to study of Hilbert modules associated to topological insulators
IMIA Operator Algebra and Noncommutative Geometry Seminar
A C*-structure on images of completely positive order zero maps.
Semi-analytical valuation for discrete barrier options under time-dependent Lévy processes
