The nuclear dimension of $O_\infty$-stable C*-algebras
Nuclear dimension is a non-commutative analogue of the covering dimension of compact, Hausdorff spaces, and separable C*-algebra which have finite nuclear dimension are (more or less) the C*-algebras expected to be classifiable by K-theory and traces. I will survey some of the theory surrounding nuclear dimension, with emphasis on a computation of the nuclear dimension for $O_\infty$-stable C*-algebras. This is joint work with Joan Bosa, Aidan Sims, and Stuart White.
