March 12 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Free talk

Cyber security for the greater good

There are many challenges in the cyber security realm today including growing threat, lack of maturity in vulnerability defenses and lack of understanding of consequence.

Additionally, the workforce gap and the sheer number of attacks forces organisations to be reactive.

Hear Argonne’s Cyber Security Program Lead Nate Evans and Cyber Security Analyst Stephanie Jenkins discuss their work in Moving Target Defense, Vehicle Security, Artificial Intelligence, Assessment methodologies.

Argonne National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary science and engineering research centre, operated by the University of Chicago, where talented scientists and engineers work together to answer the biggest questions facing humanity, from how to obtain affordable clean energy to protecting ourselves and our environment.

This is part of the Smart Squared – a talk fest series.

A series of free talks exploring ideas within commerce, science, technology, society and sustainability.

Smart Squared takes you into the detail of research. Our speakers are carefully chosen trailblazers, disruptors, entrepreneurial types and emerging new talents in all areas of research, brought to Wollongong to talk about big ideas and generate meaningful discussions.

This series puts forward the best, from all corners of the globe, to help flip an issue on its head or find creative answers to commercial questions.
