Congestion Management and Intelligent Mobility
Australia is a large country and Australian’s love to drive, but with growing population and wealth in our high-density cities, such as Sydney, we need smart approaches to mobility and congestion management. Sydney has some great ITS technology and a generous Open Data policy, which has allowed the Transport Analytics group at Data61 (part of CSIRO – Australia’s leading scientific research agency) to pursue rich data-driven approaches in transport planning and operations. In this session we’ll explore some of the work that has been done with Australian transport agencies and on-demand transport providers in the space of congestion management and intelligent mobility.
