Digital twinning has emerged as a major new approach to design and maintenance in the fourth industrial revolution, transforming the full life cycle of a product. Hear SBRC’s PHD candidate Clayton McDowell discuss how virtual and augmented reality is changing and challenging the building industry.
Clayton led Team UOW during the Desert Rose House project, to compete in the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 – the world’s largest sustainable buildings competition. The team utilised digital twinning technology to help design the house and identify flaws during the process.
