Australia-China Tribology Workshop
December 6 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
An Australia-China Tribology workshop will be held in Wollongong from 6 – 7th December 2018. The workshop involves six distinguished senior researchers from Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) and eight from Australian tribology centres at Curtin University of Technology, University of Queensland, University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of South Australia and University of Wollongong. The State Key Lab of Solid Lubrication at LICP (CAS) in Lanzhou is one of the world’s largest institute-based tribology research labs. It includes 2 Academicians, 22 Professors, 120 research staffs, and 150 PhD/MD students. It has excellent quality and sophisticated facilities for tribology research.
The researchers will cover in depth different topics in tribology on experimental aspects as well as computations, such as
(i) high performance lubricant for engine as well as high temperature rolling; aqueous lubricant;
(ii) surface texturing;
(iii) bio lubrication, hydrophobic surfaces, soft-tribology,
(iv) surface coatings, polymer and ceramic composites, nanocomposite film
(v) interfacial nanotribology
(vi) wear of engineering/bioengineering system
(vii) polymeric materials
