AI + Education – connecting technology and learning

Artificial Intelligence is poised to create dramatic changes in work and learning. It is predicted the education sector will see a massive 47.5% growth in the use of AI within two years. By 2030, AI could contribute up to $15.7trillion to the global economy.

How do learning practitioners keep up-to-date with the fast developing technology to get the most from the advancements but also protect the privacy of students and staff?

UOW’s Associate Professor Sarah Howard and Google’s Paul Hutchings will discuss stronger connections between AI and learning, ethical implications of AI development and the importance of strong collaborations between technology industry and researchers to further the field.
